MISC

LIGHTS IN BASEMENT

There are two lights in the basement. Both work via a pull string.
We use the basement as storage for tools and other various items that we wish to keep away from our kids.

ATTIC "VENT"
-There isn't a vent in the attic. The dormer gives the appearance of on from the outside, but this is cosmetic.

PAINT
-As with all homes  this age, we have always assumed there was lead paint, many layers down. The home has been painted many times over the years. We have painted every room (some more than a couple of times) in the house since we moved in, except for the hallway upstairs. The front porch pillars, trim and floor have been painted at least three times and the back porch once. Our children were both born and raised here, and have been checked for lead. Both are free and clear.

 SLIDE

The slide for the swing set is cracked, so I removed it as it looked like it could be of danger. There are fiberglass kits that might work to repair it. Just fyi.

We have loved our home and believe you will too! We'll miss our kind neighbors and our amazing Fourth of July celebrations, where the City of Parkersburg sets off fireworks in the baseball field nearby. Other than that one day a year, the house sits on the "quiet side" of the park, yet you are literally a minute walk away from the playground, pool and many festivals that are held throughout the year. It is a special place. The perfect place to raise a family.
Sincerely,
Todd, Lisa, Will & Sophia Burge
